Privacy Policy

The short version. We collect your email so we can tell you when a campsite opens. That is the whole job. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for anything else.
What we collect
When you ask Thicket to watch a site, we store your email, which park and site you want watched, and when you asked. We check your IP address for a moment to slow down spam, and we do not keep it alongside your watch.
Why we collect it
One reason: to email you when the specific site you asked about opens up. You asked us to watch it, and that is your consent. None of it feeds advertising.
What we never do
We do not sell or share your email. We do not sign you up for a newsletter. We do not send you alerts or marketing meant for anyone else.
Who processes it
Your watch sits in our database (Supabase) and is served through our host (Vercel). They process it on our behalf so the service can run. That is the extent of it.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until the watch is plainly stale and we clear it out.
Deleting your data
Email privacy@thicket.camp and we remove your address. No hoops.
Not the DNR
Thicket is independent and not affiliated with the Michigan DNR.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
